Redline Equipment provides career opportunity to future service technician

Huntington, IN – June 9, 2022: Ty Miller has been awarded the first Redline Equipment Scholarship Award to attend Parkland College’s Case New Holland Technician Training Program beginning fall of 2022.

Miller is a Huntington (Indiana) North High School, honor-roll graduate with a drive and passion for working on farm equipment. He has been well prepared for a career as a service technician, working on the family farm and several area farms over the past few years. He has been a member of the Huntington 4-H club over the past 10 years and a member of his high school Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization over the past 3 years. “I have a desire to be a Redline Equipment Service Technician because of my passion to work on (agricultural) equipment and help farmers that provide grain that helps run the world. I appreciate the opportunity provided by Redline Equipment,” said Ty Miller.

He will be working toward his Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree at Parkland College —This program prepares students to maintain and repair equipment used in a Case IH or New Holland agriculture or construction dealership.

The Case New Holland Technician training program at Parkland is the only one of its kind within five hundred miles. Students learn to diagnose and repair Case-brand construction and agriculture equipment. Interested students should contact their local Redline Equipment dealership to inquire about sponsorship. Tools and uniforms are provided by the student's sponsoring dealership.

The Redline Scholarship is an award provided by Redline Equipment Company to selected high school seniors, graduates, or post-secondary students who have a passion for farming and desire a career in Agricultural Technology, diesel Engine and/or Heavy Equipment Technology.

Redline Equipment’s Technology Development Program provides a $6,000 educational scholarship to qualified candidates along with a tool package, uniforms, and paid internship; with the goal of full-time employment at Redline Equipment.

“We are proud to provide Ty with the support he needs and look forward to seeing him succeed as one of Redline Equipment’s service technicians,” stated Paul Cave, Senior Vice President of Operations. “He is an outstanding student and exceptional candidate.” Miller will be working as a Service Support Intern out of our Huntington, IN location this summer and throughout his training.

“Learning how to manage the farm, other people, and projects, being able to teach others and work with others, and having great leadership skills are just a few of the great qualities and skills I have learned from this program that will carry me throughout my career and life. I love what this program does for young kids and adults, and how I shape people into great people and employees,” Miller added.
